Facial Trauma in Corpus Christi, TX

A traumatic injury to the teeth, soft tissues of the mouth (gums, tongue, and lips), or jaw may be caused by a direct strike to the mouth area. Oral injuries can happen while playing sports, during an auto accident, or in everyday mishaps. Trauma may cause many issues to happen, including cracked teeth, dislodged teeth, lacerations to the gums, or even a broken jaw. Oral injury treatments will vary depending on your specific case. At our Corpus Christi, TX office, Drs. Haynes and Cutbirth perform many procedures to fix oral and dental problems that occur as a result of injury. Contact our office immediately after a traumatic injury to your mouth to get an urgent care appointment.

Facial trauma is treated through a comprehensive approach that focuses on restoring both function and appearance. The treatment begins with a thorough evaluation to assess the extent of the injuries, which may involve imaging tests like X-rays or CT scans. Depending on the severity, treatment can range from nonsurgical methods, such as pain management and soft tissue care, to more complex surgical procedures to repair fractures, lacerations, or other damage to the bones and soft tissues of the face. After the initial treatment, follow-up appointments may be necessary to ensure full recovery and optimal cosmetic and functional outcomes.

Facial trauma treatment offers several key benefits that help restore both the function and appearance of the face. Benefits include:

  • Promotes proper healing of facial fractures and injuries
  • Restores facial symmetry and appearance
  • Reduces the risk of long-term complications, such as nerve damage or chronic pain
  • Enhances functionality, including the ability to speak, chew, and breathe properly
  • Supports emotional well-being by improving self-esteem and confidence after trauma

It was great for me,no stress because I didn't know what was happening. I am 77 years young. Very little pain in the following few days. Went for 1 week check up and everything was healing fine. Am I A Candidate for Facial Trauma Treatment?

If you have experienced an injury to the face, jaw, or mouth, you may be a candidate for facial trauma treatment in Corpus Christi, TX. Our team often evaluates patients after accidents, sports injuries, falls, or other unexpected events that affect facial structure or function. Even when injuries seem mild, there may be underlying concerns that benefit from professional care.
